About
The Ibanez Standard RGA742EX is a seven-string electric guitar with a sculpted archtop body and 24-fret layout. Its extended range adds a low B string for lower riffs, while the remaining strings support familiar chord and lead playing across a wider register. A three-piece maple Wizard II-7 neck, jatoba fingerboard, and jumbo frets define its playing surface.
Two passive ceramic Quantum 7 humbuckers feed a five-way selector, with switching options that include parallel and mixed-coil combinations. A volume and tone control provide straightforward adjustments, and the fixed F107 bridge allows string height to be set independently for each string. The RGA742EX-BAM finish is Black Aurora Burst Matte.
