The Gibson 50s J-45 Original in Ebony captures the legendary tone and feel that made the J-45 a true “workhorse.” Featuring a solid Sitka spruce top paired with solid mahogany back and sides, it delivers warm, rounded lows, rich midrange presence, and clear, balanced highs—perfect for strumming, songwriting, and recording alike.
Hand-scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance and dynamic response, while the comfortable rounded 50s-style mahogany neck and 24.75" scale length provide a smooth, vintage-inspired playing experience. Finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer with classic multi-ply binding and a tortoise-style pickguard, it blends timeless style with modern reliability. Equipped with LR Baggs VTC electronics, this J-45 is ready for both stage and studio performance.
