The ESP LTD H-308 is an 8-string electric guitar built for heavy metal and progressive styles. Featuring a mahogany body, set neck, and active EMG 808 pickups, it delivers tight, articulate low-end. 

The H-308 utilizes a 25.5-inch scale length, which is identical to most standard 6-string guitars. While this makes it an extremely comfortable transition instrument for players used to 6-strings, it can present tuning challenges. If you tune to standard 8-string tuning (F# - B - E - A - D - G - B - E).
