Epiphone Coronet Electric Guitar - Ebony
The Epiphone Coronet is a modern re-issue of one of Epiphone’s original solid-body electric guitar designs (first introduced around 1958).
This Ebony version brings that heritage into a sleek black finish with vintage styling touches.
Body: Solid mahogany, in the symmetrical double-cutaway shape originally used in the late 1950s.
Neck: Set (glued-in) mahogany neck for good sustain, paired with an Indian laurel or rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets.
Scale & Nut: Scale length approx. 24.7″ (24.75″) and nut width about 1.69″ for a comfortable feel.
Pickup: A single P-90 style “Dogear” (or PRO P-90) pickup—one volume and one tone control. Great for punchy, raw rock-’n-roll tones.
Hardware & Details: Reduced-size Kalamazoo headstock shape, ivory tuning buttons, white or contrasting pickguard.
Because of the mahogany body + set neck + single P90 pickup, the Coronet delivers a mid-rich, warm tone with a bit of grit when overdriven—ideal for straightforward rock and cutting rhythm work. The slim double-cut body makes upper-fret access comfortable, and the stripped-down controls mean it keeps things simple and focused.
