Maxwell’s House of Music in Jeffersonville, IN is the premiere music education option near Louisville, KY that has offered music education for over 4 decades! We have both private instruction and group-based music programs. Our educational options include private lessons, Maxwell’s Music Lab, and the On Stage Performance Program.
Private lessons give you time to focus on your own instrument and musical goals. Maxwell’s serves beginning and advanced students, with instruction in over 20 instruments - including voice, sound engineering, and songwriting.
For a group experience, Maxwell’s Music Lab introduces beginners of all ages to instrument basics on guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard. It also allows students to participate without owning an instrument. This music lab is a perfect entry level to help you decide how you want to proceed with private lessons!
The On Stage performance program is where musicians learn to become performers. It is designed for solo artists, duos/trios, to a full band and teaches intermediate to experienced musicians how to perform.
When choosing a program, tell us whether you’re brand-new to music, returning after a break, or ready to play with others. Our Education Coordinator can help you explore the available formats and current openings.
