Rachel May

Rachel May is a professional musician living and working in the Louisville area.  She began playing the violin at age 10, guitar at 12, and piano at 16.  After graduating college on a violin performance scholarship in 2012, she performed as a solo cover artist around Louisville and Nashville.  She has performed in venues big and small, from Wick's Pizza in New Albany to the Derby Train for the governor of Kentucky.  In 2017, she auditioned for Holland America Cruise Line's piano venue aboard their line of luxury cruise ships.  She was hired and performed aboard 4 different ships for two years, traveling to over 30 different countries as half of the piano duo in the Billboard Onboard venue.  Now, she works as part of the house band at the dueling piano bar Howl at the Moon on Fourth Street Live in Louisville.  In addition to her professional experience, Rachel has been teaching private music lessons for over a decade, and she is happy to be back on land where she can combine her two loves of performing and helping others achieve their music goals.
