SABIAN 17” HHX Suspended Cymbals are hammered from pure SABIAN B20 bronze. They are a popular choice with professional and collegiate ensembles, as well as discriminating high schools. The unique design and large-peen hammering of HHX Suspended Cymbals allows them to deliver quick response with dark, rich shimmer ? while offering enhanced projection. 17" HHX Suspended Cymbals are ideal in band and orchestral compositions that do not require a great deal of volume, and when dark tone with quick response is desired. As a series, HHX Suspended Cymbals produce dark sound that blossoms quickly after they're played. Only the SABIAN Artisan series has a similar response time. The main difference between a suspended cymbal and a crash cymbal is the longer sustain in a suspended cymbal.
